Which tenancy agreements do we use?
Where properties are let direct to individuals we use Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements. Where properties are let to companies for the occupation of employees a Contractual Tenancy Agreement is used. In each case the agreement allows for a refundable deposit to be taken in addition to rent in advance, and allows possession to be gained by the landlord at the end of the fixed term or during the term for breach of contract. In all cases a written Schedule of Condition and Photographic Survey is agreed with the tenant to prevent disputes at the end of the tenancy. Jefferys are members of The Dispute Service who operate a Tenancy Deposit Scheme. top
