Why You'll Like It
Located within walking distance of the city, Calenick is a sleepy creekside hamlet with pretty rural views. The property is a four bedroom plus study semi detached and significantly extended converted former mill house with a gorgeous tiered garden and bags of character. There's a delightful blend of historic and modern with the original mill having broad stone walls and timber beams contrasted by the modern, light and bright extension truly creating a house for all seasons. The cosy lounge with wood burning stove and beamed ceilings is ideal for winter evenings and the sunny kitchen / living / dining room offers a crisp modern space where the light streams in. The property has a flexible layout with the entrance hallway / boot room having a cloakroom / WC with shower enclosure. There's a ground floor bedroom close to the shower room although this could be used as a second sitting room if preferred. As a bedroom it suits multi-generational living with an accessible ground floor bedroom. The kitchen / dining room is a large modern extension with fitted shaker style kitchen and masses of light from four large Velux style windows. The living room has a wood burning stove (as does the second sitting room / ground floor bedroom) and the stairs to the first floor. On the first floor there's a large bedroom with beamed ceiling, a study and family bathroom which is fitted with a white suite comprising deep bath, close coupled WC and pedestal basin. There is also a separate shower enclosure. Up on the second floor there are two further bedrooms. Outside there is a concrete hard standing for parking and the garden is beautifully landscaped into tiers with steps between. The views across the hamlet from the garden are very pretty indeed.

The same path also links to Highertown via the back of County Hall so for those seeking great cycle routes to work Calenick is an ideal location.
