Lanlivery is a small rural village which is situated approximately one and a half miles west of the historic town of Lostwithiel. The village has a thriving community and is home to St Brevita Parish Church with its impressive 100ft high tower which was built in the 15th century but has been restored in recent times. In the centre of the village is a Primary Academy and Little Foresters Pre-School, plus the popular 'The Crown Inn', which dates back to the 12th century. The neighbouring town of Lostwithiel is steeped in history and offers a variety of shops and amenities including a mainline train station. The larger market town of Bodmin provides a comprehensive range of shopping facilities and services, approximately five miles north of the village.

The village hall is an early 19th century Grade ll listed building of solid stone construction with mullion windows and a hipped slate roof. The building has served the community for a variety of purposes over the years and was then restored and altered internally in the early 1980's when it became the village hall. The proposed conversion to a residential dwelling has drawings for an upside-down house with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor and a spacious open plan living room/kitchen/diner on the first floor. Externally the property has a good size garden to the front.

Copies of the decision notice (Application Number PA17/07127), proposed floor plan and elevations are available from the Lostwithiel Office of Jefferys. Alternatively all the relevant planning documents can be viewed and downloaded from the 'Online Planning Register' on the Cornwall Council Website:- www.cornwall.gov.uk
