Views beyond compare! Perched on the slope of the Mendip Hills with far reaching views to the front this extended family home offers flexible and spacious accommodation within a quiet village setting yet only a short drive into Wells and conveniently located for both Bristol and Bath (both c.20 miles).
Entering the house via the entrance hall you will find a good sized dining kitchen with an extensive range of wall and base units with under unit lighting. Integrated appliances include ceramic hob (with extractor hood over), fan-assisted electric oven and grill, dishwasher and fridge. The kitchen has a tiled ceramic floor and there is plenty of light with two large south-facing windows in addition to an external door to the side. To the rear of the kitchen is a utility room with oil fired boiler and integrated fridge and freezer as well as plumbing for washing machine and venting for a tumble dryer.
To the rear of the hall is a ground floor cloakroom with airing cupboard and useful under stairs cupboard. Finally on this floor is a master bedroom with en suite bathroom.
Going up the stairs to the first floor landing all of the reception rooms are off to the right with a double aspect lounge having a balcony to the front from which to really appreciate the views and a second set of patio doors giving access to the rear garden. The lounge opens into a sitting room with feature open fireplace. An engineered wooden floor runs through both of these rooms. A door opens from the sitting room to a staircase leading down to a bedroom or reception room. Slightly removed from the rest of the house this would be a great teenagers bedroom or perhaps a home office.
On the other side of the landing there is a family bathroom (electric shower over the bath) and three further bedrooms.
Double glazed windows throughout. Oil fired boiler supplying central heating and hot water.
To the front of the property there is a tarmac driveway providing parking for up to 5 cars and a detached former garage with power and light. Retaining stone walls and an area of lawn with the oil tank behind the garage. A path lies to the side of the property with a water tap and steps rise to the rear garden.
Immediately to the rear of the property is a large terrace with power, light and water with a water feature and pumped waterfall. A lovely space for entertaining! Gentle steps lead up to two further areas of patio and the mainly lawned garden with a final terrace at the top of the garden enjoying the best of the far-reaching views. The rear garden extends to 79' x 56' (24m x 17m).
