We have had seventeen happy years at Heathlands. It was built in 2000. When we moved in in 2002 we needed to finish the decoration off. The builder had started to build a replica Wendy house for his daughter in the garden which we roofed to provide a dry storage area. The garden hadn’t been developed so we planted it out. We love the garden and patio being south facing, which means there are areas of sun and shade all day long.
Our major change to the house was the conversion of the garage to a downstairs bedroom to accommodate our then elderly parents when they stayed with us and our conservatory. We love the conservatory and spent time in there both summer and winter. We have air conditioning which provides both hot and cold air. It is lovely and bright to spend your time in. We have wonderful neighbours and found everyone in the village friendly and helpful. Crossways has two shops, one being the Coop and one the post office. We have The Frampton Arms within walking distance and the Spitfire Club. The station at Moreton, again within walking distance, gives good access to both London and the local area like Weymouth and Bournemouth which is useful in the summer months. The village is also fortunate to have a doctors surgery, library and village hall.
