Why You'll Like It
This distinctive detached house has been carefully designed to make the best use of the plot and maximise the delightful glimpses of the creek. With accommodation arranged in reverse the house has bags of character and externally, great care was taken to create an attractive property in keeping with this historic village. There's great attention to detail in the finish with granite quoins and lintels, timber weather boarding and stylish oriel bay windows which add light and space to the first floor. Outside at the front there's ample off street parking on the block paved driveway. The entrance hallway is a lovely welcome to this quirky reverse level home. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor with the master having an ensuite shower room equipped with wall hung basin and WC and a shower enclosure with thermostatic mixer shower. There's also a family bathroom with corner bath and thermostatic mixer shower over. The understairs storage cupboard and airing cupboard and airing cupboard complete the ground floor and there is a back door out to the rear of the garage. Heading up stairs, the landing has French doors to the rear garden and connects the kitchen/ dining room with the living room and gives access to the fourth bedroom / study. The kitchen / dining room is a light and bright dual aspect room with lovely views between the houses of the creek and landscape. beyond. The living room is similar in size and has similar views. There is also a lovely view from bedroom four. Outside the rear garden is decked with plenty of sunny outside space to enjoy while keeping garden maintenance to a minimum. There is handy storage space behind the property and the garage is long and may lend itself to conversion (subject to any necessary consents).
Where It Is
Devoran is a delightful creekside village with excellent amenities close at hand and a lovely community. There's a doctors surgery and village hall a level walk away and the village is served by regular buses to Truro and Falmouth. For Active types the Bissoe Trail is popular with cyclists, walkers and runners and goes all the way to Portreath on the North Coast. Of course you may prefer to Kayak to The Pandora Inn (or The Norway Inn for that matter). The Yummy Scrummy Bakery does great coffee and cake and Devoran Primary School is highly regarded. Situated between Truro and Falmouth, Devoran really is a fantastic place to live! If you are looking for a lovely village local pub, The Old Quay Inn which is a short walk away is hard to beat.
