Why You'll Like It
Skilfully converted to preserve the character and heritage of this beautiful barn, the result is a four bedroom family home with wonderful views and the benefit of an adjoining field measuring approximately two acres. The attractive courtyard setting is perfect for those looking for a rural retreat and lifestyle. Stepping inside, the reception hall is the central hub and the slate flooring is both practical and attractive. A guest cloakroom is just off the hallway. The triple aspect living room is not only light and bright, but the feature fireplace is home to a woodburning stove - perfect for cosy evenings with the open beam ceiling adding to the country feel. French doors open onto the garden and there is also a set of glazed doors opening through to the conservatory which has panoramic views over the countryside. Extra touches include Travertine tiled flooring and an exposed stone wall. It's hard to imagine a nicer spot to sit and read. Patio doors open onto the sun terrace and garden beyond. Modern living demands a spacious open plan kitchen with plenty of space for cooking and socialising. This beautiful kitchen doesn't disappoint with a thoughtful design incorporating oak units with granite effect worktops. Integrated appliances include a dishwasher, fridge, double oven/grill, hob and extractor. There is plenty of space for a dining table and chairs and the tiled floor adds to the quality and of course is very practical. Heading upstairs, a window on the landing has lovely views and a linen cupboard has plenty of storage. As with the ground floor, the first floor is light and bright and the master bedroom has an en suite shower room. There are two further double bedrooms, one of which has a Juliette balcony and the fourth bedroom is a good sized single. The family bathroom has a white suite with a shower over the bath. Practical matters are taken care of in the utility room which has a sink and space/plumbing for a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The gardens are a delight, perfect for pottering with a large lawned area, mature plants and shrubs and a sun terrace. A lower area has raised beds planted with herbs, soft fruits and roses and a greenhouse.
